What are the key differences between management and administration?
Explain each of them in detail.
Administration and management are two different
concepts that complement each other so that without the existence of one it is
not possible to perform the other.
Management focuses on managing people and their
work, while administration deals with managing the management of an
organization.
According to the video:
·
EXTENT DIFFERENCE
“Management is exacting the discharge of policies” “Administration
is exacting the assurance of primary policies and objectives”. This means that
the administration is in charge of determining what the policies and objectives
will be, while the management is in charge of ensuring that the above is
complied with.
·
WORKING AREA
“Management is a low and mid-ranker function, but
the administration is a high-ranker function” This means that the management is
in charge of a specific area, which can be small or medium, however, the
administration is in charge of all the functions of the organization.
·
AUTHORITY
“Decisions of the Management are controlled by the
goals and policies. Administrative decisions are controlled by a common belief
and other forces” This means that the management is in charge of following what
is established by the administration, while the administration follows the
common ideology.
·
CHANGING FACTORS
“The management style of an organization also can be
changed with the removal or employment of a new manager or leader. Where the
Administrative procedures or policies are slower to change” As management is
directed by one person or a small number of people, it is common for that
person to change, unlike the administration, because for a policy to change, it
must first be analyzed and studied to determine whether it is feasible to
change it or not.
·
DIFFERENCE BY FOCUSING AREA
“The management focuses to implement new ideas
through research and innovative resources to archive the organization´s target.
The administration of an organization aims to fulfil all requirements to secure
the highest objectivity for their business” That means that the management is
in charge of expanding the product through the market, while the administration
focuses on the internal activities of the organization, that the objectives
that benefit the organization are carried out.
Which is better, management or administration? Explain in detail.
I believe that neither is more important than
the other, both complement each other since the activities of an organization
are too broad to only use one of them.
From what I understand, the administration
oversees the entire organization, but more generally, how to determine its
functions, rules, way of working, and others, that is, it is the basis of the
organization; The management is in charge of managing more specific things,
everything that the administration determined, that is, that everything is
being carried out as established.
I agree with you, there cannot be one more important than the other, the two complement each other and help the organization work in the best way.
ResponderBorrarI also agree that both are complementary and really important in organizations. I like this entry, the information is complete and organized.
ResponderBorrarI understand more the diferences with this information.
ResponderBorrarI agree! I believe both are very important and therefore need to be held with equal importance even if one is ranked higher than the other! very well phrased.
